FAQs

WHAT TYPE OF TRAINING DOES CREATURE CONNECTIONS DO?

We are positive reinforcement based trainers. We never use tools that could inflict pain or fear.
We also do not use intimidation in our training. We never use any choke, prong, garrote, slip lead, shock/stim/vibrating/spray collars in our training.

DO YOU ONLY USE FOOD IN YOUR TRAINING?

NOT AT ALL! Sometimes we use praise and affection. We also use fun that may include play, or toys. It is all about finding a valued resource for the pup. That may also include distance, especially when training during behavior modification.

DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?

Yes, we do! We offer first responder discounts. We also offer discounts to multiple dog house holds, or repeat customers. We also have occasional sales on training.

what is your return policy?

Our return policy is on a case by case basis. However, we typically only refund due to extenuating circumstances, such as bereavement of the dog or human, severe illness of the dog or human.

It is of our strong belief that once you start training, you and your pup will not see the full benefit or the final outcome, if you do not commit to our programs, then that is on the client and not a reflection on CCBA.

We do, in the best interest, of everyone try to make accommodations for missed group classes. Such as, making up a missed class at another time, or rescheduling. We only allow one make up class.

We also make accommodations for those pups/families that are struggling in a group setting, by offering a transfer of time to private lessons.

Once you have started classes we do not refund. You can switch class times or transfer the funds to an equivalent amount of dollars to a private lesson. Speak to Candie about transfer.

DO YOU HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY?

No refunds once class starts, a fee is charged for cancellation close to class start.

There is a $25 charge 2 weeks before class starts, $50 charge if cancelled 1 week before class start. If you cancel midway through a group class, CCBA will discuss and determine if a refund is applicable or not.

DO YOU HAVE POLICY REGARDING DOG BITES?

Trainer reserves the right to remove dog from the class if dog bites human or animal. Trainer reserves the right to determine if there is a refund for canceling due to dog bite.

If a dog bites anyone during classes, CCBA adheres to our policy of removal from the class and referring the dog out to a Veterinary Behaviorist for evaluation and a discussion to transfer the dog to private behavioral modification program. Clients are required to sign legally binding Terms and Conditions, as well as, a Liability release before joining any program with CCBA.

MY DOG ISN’T LEARNING IN THE CLASSES WHAT CAN I DO?

CCBA will make every attempt possible to give you the tools to train your dog at home. If you are not following the instructions during class or at home, CCBA will not be held accountable. We pride ourselves in transparency, and we make every attempt to accommodate each student and their pups.
